VIP Airport Service at Larnaca & Paphos: Meet & Assist, Express Lane, Lounges

VIP Airport Service in Cyprus: The Short Answer

Checked October 2026. At Larnaca and Paphos there is no single "VIP ticket" for scheduled flights. A VIP airport service is put together from a few parts:

  • Meet & assist: an executive team from the airport's ground handler meets you and escorts you through check-in, security and passport control, using priority lanes where they are allowed. Swissport Executive Aviation lists meet & assist at both Larnaca and Paphos; we confirm availability for your flight.
  • The Express Lane: Hermes Airports' paid lane through security at Larnaca, which can be booked online.
  • A lounge: the Skala Lounge or the Aegean Business Lounge at Larnaca, and the Premium Lounge at Paphos.
  • A private transfer between the airport and your home, hotel or villa.

Flying private is different: at Larnaca, private flights use an executive terminal, run by Skylink Services, with passport control and customs inside.

One thing no VIP service can do is skip passport control or security. Cyprus is not yet in the Schengen area, so every arriving passenger, including on flights from Athens, Paris or Frankfurt, goes through a border check.

JetSet Travel is an IATA-accredited travel agency in Paphos (IATA 14200130, Tourism Licence 7775). We arrange VIP airport service at Larnaca and Paphos together with your flights and transfers, and we check what is available for your flight time before you pay.

What a VIP Airport Service Can Include

Meet & assist

Hermes Airports, which runs both airports, does not sell a "VIP" or meet & assist product itself. The service is provided by ground handlers' executive teams. Swissport lists Meet & Assist and help with customs and immigration under its Executive Aviation service at both Larnaca and Paphos. Its pages present this mainly for business aviation, so for an airline flight we confirm availability before we book.

In practice, a member of staff meets you and guides you through the formalities, using priority lanes where permitted. It does not let you bypass security or immigration; it makes them smoother and quicker.

The Express Lane at Larnaca

The Express Lane is Hermes Airports' name for its fast-track lane:

  • At Larnaca it is a dedicated lane to the departures security search. Hermes says there is also an Express Lane in arrivals, just before the border-control kiosks.
  • You can book it online through Hermes for Larnaca, or buy a ticket from machines at the airport. Hermes advertises a discount for booking online.
  • The charge is per passenger, and children and infants pay the same as adults. Tickets are single-use and non-refundable.
  • Hermes is clear that the Express Lane does not guarantee you will not queue at busy times.

At Paphos, Hermes does not sell the Express Lane, and its own passenger guide (October 2025) lists no Express Lane there. If speed matters at Paphos, meet & assist is the best option we can arrange.

Lounges

Hermes lists three lounges:

  • Skala Lounge, Larnaca: on the third floor after security, run by SSP. Priority Pass is accepted, subject to space.
  • Aegean Business Lounge, Larnaca: for Aegean business-class passengers and Miles+Bonus Gold and Star Alliance Gold members.
  • Premium Lounge, Paphos: in departures, opposite Gate 7. Hermes says it is open to all travellers, whatever their class of travel.

In October 2026 Hermes' online lounge booking was paused, with entry tickets sold at the airport. Access rules and prices change, so we confirm them when we book.

Porter service at Larnaca

At Larnaca a porter can take your bags from the baggage carousel to the taxi or bus area, or from the kerb to check-in. Hermes lists the price as €10 per trolley. The service is not offered at Paphos.

Private transfer

A driver meets you outside arrivals, or collects you from home for a departure. We arrange private transfers anywhere in Cyprus, timed to your flight.

Arriving in Cyprus: Passport Control Still Applies

As of October 2026, Cyprus is an EU member but not yet part of the Schengen area. It expects to join in 2027, subject to a decision of the EU Council. Until then:

  • Every arriving passenger goes through a border check, including on flights from Schengen countries.
  • Both airports have BorderXpress self-service kiosks for eligible passengers (mainly on flights from the EU, UK and EEA); other passengers use officer-staffed desks.
  • The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) is not used in Cyprus.

A VIP service makes this faster and calmer; it does not remove it. Our Cyprus Schengen guide tracks the latest on accession.

Flying Private from Larnaca or Paphos

At Larnaca, private flights are handled at an executive terminal run by Skylink Services, with its own lounge and with passport control and customs inside the building. We confirm the handling arrangements for each flight.

At Paphos, we found no dedicated private-jet terminal. Ground handlers meet private flights and help passengers through customs and immigration.

We arrange private jet charter through charter partners. See our private jet and yacht charter guide for how that works.

Families, Older Travellers and Reduced Mobility

  • Special assistance is free. Under EU Regulation 1107/2006, help for passengers with reduced mobility costs nothing. Request it at least 48 hours before you fly, through the airline or your travel agent; when we book your flights, we add the request for you.
  • At Larnaca, the special assistance desk in the check-in area is staffed 24 hours, and passengers with reduced mobility get free Express Lane access.
  • Hidden disabilities and autism: both airports take part in the Sunflower Lanyard scheme and the "I CAN FLY" autism programme. Hermes points out that the Sunflower Lanyard is not a fast track; it tells staff you may need more time.
  • Children: on the Express Lane, children and infants pay the adult fee. Both airports have baby-changing rooms.

Building Works until 2027

Hermes is expanding both airports, with works under way and completion targeted for 2027. At Larnaca this includes a new passport control and security area. While the works continue, allow a little extra time, or let meet & assist take the strain.

How JetSet Arranges VIP Airport Service

  1. Send us your flights, or let us book them.
  2. We book the parts that fit your trip: meet & assist with the executive handling team at Larnaca or Paphos, the Express Lane at Larnaca, lounge entry and porter service.
  3. We add a private transfer to or from the airport.
  4. We file any special assistance request with the airline at least 48 hours ahead.

It works for a single arrival, a family, or a group of guests for a wedding or company event. For the rest of the trip, see our luxury travel service, our guide to luxury cruises from Cyprus in 2027, or our private clients service if discretion matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a VIP terminal at Larnaca airport?

For private flights, yes: Larnaca has an executive terminal, run by Skylink Services, with passport control and customs inside. For scheduled flights, VIP service means meet & assist, the Express Lane through security and a lounge.

Can VIP service skip passport control in Cyprus?

No. Cyprus is not yet in the Schengen area, so every arriving passenger goes through a border check, and everyone is screened at security. Meet & assist makes both quicker and easier, using priority lanes where they are allowed.

Is there fast track at Paphos airport?

Hermes Airports sells Express Lane tickets for Larnaca only, and its 2025 passenger guide lists no Express Lane at Paphos. At Paphos the best option is meet & assist, which we confirm for your flight.

Which lounge can I use at Paphos airport?

The Premium Lounge, in departures opposite Gate 7. Hermes says it is open to all travellers, whatever their class of travel.

Do children need their own Express Lane ticket?

Yes. At Larnaca, children and infants pay the same Express Lane fee as adults.
